“Science, Education, Innovations and Chemical Technologies - From Idea to Implementation 2023”

The 2nd International Conference “Science, Education, Innovations and Chemical Technologies - From Idea to Implementation. 2023” was opened on November 23. The conference is organized by R. Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and it will end on November 26.

The aim of the conference is to share the results and achievements of the latest basic and technological research with representatives of broad and interdisciplinary scientific schools of chemistry and related fields; to plan possible joint research on the basis of research methods and experiences; to deepen the partnership in order to create innovative technologies within the framework of the regional socio-economic development strategy “Horizon Europe”; to find potential partners in the production sector to attract their interest in financing scientific projects; to involve young researchers (master’s students, doctoral students and post-doctoral students) in active scientific work.

The main topics of the conference are: 1. Nano-processes and nanotechnologies; 2. Fundamentals of mineral and secondary raw materials processing and technological aspects; 3. Green chemistry; 4. Promotion and commercialization of scientific innovations; 5 Energy.

Considering the experience of the international scientific conference “Modern Researches and Prospects of Their Use in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Related Fields” dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the R.Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry organized by the Institute in 2016, scientists from Japan, Italy, America, Germany, France, Poland, Bulgaria, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Brazil, Portugal and Iran expressed their desire to participate in the 2023 conference.

A seasonal school for students will be held in parallel with the conference. Foreign, internationally recognized scientists will take an active part in it; they will read reports and advise the school participants on their dissertations.

The co-sponsors of the conference are: CAPAROL LLC, Design and Construction Technological Institute - InnoSystems, Service Management Company (SMC), Chona’s Marani. Representatives of GITA and SAKPATENTI will give reports at the event.

The purpose of the seasonal school is to popularize science through communication with foreign specialists; to introduce modern international scientific approaches, application-oriented research, personal examples and experiences of scientists to students enrolled in master’s and doctoral programs of higher educational institutions of Georgia. The seasonal school is intended not only for students of natural sciences. Its participants will have an opportunity to listen to the reports of foreign and Georgian lecturers, who will deal with topical issues of interdisciplinary fields.

The seasonal school is financed by the winning project of the TSU - 2023 student project competition “From Idea to Implementation.”

The authors of the project are PhD students of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of TSU, who are carrying out their research work at the R.Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry and Al. Tvalchrelidze Caucasian Institute of Mineral Resources.

The following persons are participating in the conference-seasonal school: Dr. Stefano Bellucci, Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), Rome, Italy; Prof. Dr. habil. Fred Lisdat, Life Sciences Researcher and Director of the Institute of Life Sciences and Biomedical Technologies, Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau; Dr.Venko N.
